Squirrel, squirrel

Well, I’ve been squirreling away here (again, sorry for the pun… Well, actually I’m not at all sorry. So there) making all sorts of woolly beasts. The most recent is this red squirrel.

Once he was finished, I let him ramble in his natural environment for a while before posting him to his new home!

The Making of Two Shetland Sheep Dogs

These dogs were a commission for a friend of my Mum’s, and a huge learning curve for me, as I have always chickened out of making anything that is excessively furry.

However, fur is a huge feature of most animals, and I figured I’d have to learn how to do it eventually.

First, here are some pictures of the finished creatures –

I made up the process as I went along, creating a rough base first and then adding fur in different coloured tufts!
